During the Edo period, peace started taking over and people started doing the jobs of teachers, artists, bureaucrats, and many other such professions which had nothing to do with martial arts. With Emperor Meiji coming into power, the Samurai powers were abolished in 1873, and he also gave birth to new western style army.
#8 Samurai Warriors ready to roll
After the abolishment of the Samurai powers, the warriors were not allowed to carry a sword. They were also not allowed to execute someone who disrespected them in public. Japan’s modern day martial arts still has the reflection of the martial arts performed by the Samurai Warriors.
