5. A printing error made adultery mandatory in 1631
Printers Robert Barker and Martin Lucas accidentally left the “not” out of the 7th commandment in their printing of King James Bible. It was a yes to adultery. They were punished severely, all the copies were ordered to burn. Just 11 copies of that Bible could survive.
6. A missing line cost NASA $80 million dollars
NASA launched America’s first inter-planetary probe Meriner 1. There was a single typo, they missed out a line that goes above a number or a letter. It changed the computer equation and caused the spacecraft to veer off course. NASA had to detonate Mariner 1.
