The hub of social gatherings, video game parlours was immensely popular among youngsters and was the cool hangout for cool people. With the evolution of gaming consoles, these arcade video games developed gradually before eventually declining owing to developments in microcomputers.

6. VCR (Video cassette recorder)
Before Internet and Netflix, the source of all X-rated (add as many X as you want) and R-rated video materials used to be VCR. Several video rental companies like Blockbuster came up and the VCR market saw a big boom in 1980’s.
