7. Attention seeking disorder

Have you got friends who are always busy in sharing their vacations pics, changing profile pics every week, playing useless games and sharing scores? Well, social media addicted people do show off and they try very hard to seek attention. I guess no. of likes on their pictures really pumps up their ego. It’s all about getting virtual popularity. I actually have seen girls who compare their likes on their Facebook DPs.

8. Because people are watching

The other reason to suffer from identity disorder on social media is that everything is shown to the world. Whatever you are doing are seen by your large group of so called friends. Why would you want to show them a boring personality? And this leads to fake things on social media and you act differently on every other social platform as per the needs.

9. Trust me, you have only 4 friends

The other reason why people like to spend their time on social media is because they get to choose their friends after stalking them. In real life, you may have only a few friends but online friends come with varieties. You can friend/unfriend them anytime you like. You can make friends as many as you can but trust me you have only 4 friends that you talk to. We think having more friends make us popular so you even add people you hated in school.

10. Impersonation and making a fake profile

While we are talking about identity disorder, we should also discuss how easy it is to make a profile of a person that doesn’t even exist in reality. You can even impersonate anyone you like and live their life for as long as you wish. Most of the guys actually make fake profiles to stalk the girls they like.

If you sum up all the things mentioned above, you actually do these things. You are active on all social media platforms. In Snpachat you look beautiful, in Twitter, you are the wisest person, you are famous on Facebook but in reality, you are completely different. These are all signs of identity disorder in a virtual world. But always know this, you are much more interesting person in real life. You are more beautiful than your profile picture. Don’t let this fake world affect you 🙂
