4. Cement Shoes.
Introduced by the American Mafia for the execution of their enemies, traitors. The victim’s feet were placed inside cinder blocks and wet cement was poured inside it. When the cement dried up the victim was thrown into the river or other deep water body.
5. Iron Chair.
In medieval Europe, the Chair of torture was one of the most common ancient torture methods. The victim was made to sit on the chair and to avoid movement the victim’s wrist was tied to the chair and two bars were pushed against it till the spikes penetrated the flesh and held the arm firmly. The idea of this type of a torture was to create psychological fear among the other victims, and easy extraction of confession.
6. Rat Torture.
One of the most sadistic ancient torture methods, rat torture was favored for inflicting excruciating pain on the victim. The victim was restrained on a horizontal surface and slits were made in the stomach, the rats were then placed inside a cage with one side open strapped on the victim. The rats looking for an escape route usually dug into the victim’s body eating the internal organs, resulting in death.
