Cyber Attack Hits Around 100 Countries, More Than 75,000 Computers Hacked!

Security researchers have flagged a possible link between North Korea and the massive cyber attack that hit at least 100 countries around the world.

While some of North Korea’s hacking activities appear to be motivated by its cash shortage or personal retribution, the regime also conducts more traditional attacks on its southern neighbor.

South Korea said in December that North Korea had hacked its military intranet and leaked confidential information.

Microsoft released a security update to slow down WannaCry from spreading.

This update was only restricted to devices running Windows 10 but the OS that has been mainly targetted is Windows XP whose support was closed a long time back but is still used by many users. It’s reported that windows later pulled back the update from Windows 10 after providing it once.
