Open Water is a psychological horror drama film released in 2003. This disturbing movie was based on the true events of a tragic scuba diving trip. Tom and Eileen Lonergan were left behind in shark-infested water in 1998 and were supposedly eaten by sharks during their scuba diving trip.

Monster is a 2003 crime-drama film based on the serial killer Aileen Wournos. Aileen was a prostitute who killed six men in the 80s.
9. The Amityville Horror.
The Amityville Horror is based on the alleged experience of the Lutz family after they moved into a house in Long Island where a family of six were murdered in 1974.
