Julia Kaye a 28-year-old cartoonist who lives in Los Angeles and is already famous from her comics ‘Up And Out’, last year suddenly her life was transformed when she went for a gender transition and became a transgender woman. Julia’s going through many emotional challenges as this was a very difficult step that brings about depression along with hope and confidence.
Julia’s friends encouraged her to start making comics about her emotional transition. The comics portray the struggle she had to go through before reaching her goals, of buying a dress for the first time, learning how to use an eyeliner, and sharing about her transition to her friends and family.

Julia tried to portray herself exactly what she went through in these emotional comics, very honestly. She felt that she needs to share this experience of hers with other transgender people, who could identify and realize they’re not alone and also allow other people, to get an insight of this gender transition nightmare through her comics, which all transgenders confront.
