7. Once, okay. Twice, Ouch!
I’m not a guy and this didn’t happen to me but it seems relevant. One friend of mine asked a girl out to prom with a big gesture on the hallway of all the rooms of our batch. He sang, which he sucked in, and gave a beautiful bouquet after. He then knelt down and put the all mighty PROM WITH ME sign up and we were all there to cheer him on. This was a full corridor of students, more than a hundred for sure as our batch is around 300. After all of that, she says no. As a crowd, we don’t stand for this and push him to ask her again. This time he’s begging. She looks at all of us and looks like she’ll say yes but the last min. Says no and shakes her head then just goes. I felt so bad for him.

8. Fourth-grade rejection? -_-
My worst was in fourth grade.
I had been talking to this girl in my class for at least half the school season, and she seemed really nice, and I thought she was kind of pretty. So, naturally, I thought it would be easy to ask her to be my girlfriend, during class nonetheless.
Ha, yeah right. She instantly started laughing and being very loud about the rejection. The entire class knew at that point that I had asked, and I was basically the huge embarrassment of the day.
To make matters worse, for the rest of the year, she would make fun of me with her friends. Valentine’s Day really sucked for me that year.

9. This one’s a little heartbreaking.
I had never been to the prom or any kind of school dance before (I was always a shy loner). I asked out a crush and she said yes, which was AWESOME. Then about two days before prom, she got “sick” and couldn’t go but encouraged me to go on my own. Instead, I went to Blockbuster (this was ’06), picked up some movies and popcorn and showed up to her house…only to find out that she actually was attending another school’s prom.
It wasn’t a direct rejection, but it’s the one that’s stuck with me the longest.
