Why Jose Mourinho is the Man for ManUtd’s Job
27th May, 2016 – A day Manchester United fans cherished the most in recent times. More so, after having arguably suffered for the last 3 years as a Red Devil!
This was the day when Louis van Gaal got replaced by one of his early assistants from Football Club of Barcelona. Jose Mourinho was appointed to manage Manchester United for at least 3 years and he made his way to the Old Trafford.
The emotions with which fans welcomed Mou (as he is popularly called) prove that United Supporters believe in the new management. The reasons to have faith in the self-proclaimed “The Special One” manager are plenty. To start with, Jose has an almost impeccable track record when it comes to proving his mettle. He has won almost every glory that is there to claim in Europe. Be it the regional leagues or winning the coveted European UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup, Jose has time and again emerged victorious – something every United fan can swear by.
This is the kind of manager The Red Manchester needs at the moment. After having lived long in Sir Alex Ferguson’s shadow, it was imminent for his departure to follow. United hired a rather underwhelming achiever in David Moyes, who after only 10 months of abysmal display, was sacked by club owners.
He then got replaced with the ageing but gritty van Gaal, who began his tenure of 3 years with a positive note by leading the team to Champions League qualification. Although, the gap between the manager and the players was quite evident which apparently led to several tussles, pseudo chaos and eventually a sacking.
Mourinho now bears the pressure of bringing United back to its early glory days and he is the right man to do it. With excellent past record and overly blown rivalry with Pep Guardiola (who will manage Manchester City) to look forward to, it would be every football fan’s delight to watch the titans fight it out for Premier League.
It is just a matter of time before August, when we all get back to the footballing action. Rest assured, Jose Mourinho shall make the excitement all worth your time!
