Her jaw bones stopped growing which made her teeth unaligned.

What is dental deformity?
Defective enamel development is the major cause behind this. It could also be an inherited condition called amelogenesis imperfecta and it is estimated that 1 in 14,000 people in the United States has this condition.
Ellie Jones, 20 was born with this condition and her teeth were not aligned.
When her parents took her to the dentist and, she got braces fitted. This happened when she was 14. Later the orthodontist realized that her jaw bones had not grown since she was 8.
For the past 6 years, Ellie worked with the maxillofacial surgeon who helped Ellie’s jaw catch up with her face and make it more functional.
In an attempt to align her teeth with her face, she had her first operation at the age of 16. Her jaws were cut horizontally and vertically to set the alignment.
After the surgery, she was on a liquid diet. She couldn’t talk for a few weeks and had a notepad handy for communication.
Her surgeon was also happy after Ellie’s surgery. She was happy that it made her a big impact on Ellie’s life.
