She was named “NDTV Indian Of The Year” in 2014. She won a bronze in Uber cup which was held in New Delhi in 2014 along with snatching bronze in 2013 BWF World Championship which was held in Guangzhou, China.
6. First Indian Woman To Win Medal At The World Championship.
Sindhu became the first Indian woman badminton singles player to win a medal at the world championship on 10th of august in 2013.
