It’s not a good idea to post political rants or religiously-motivated opinions on Facebook. It is fine to share links to news articles or videos to get a discussion going among your friend group on the social network, but think twice before posting something that could be construed as insensitive, or taken out of context. That way, you’ll avoid losing friends thanks to something you posted in the heat of the moment, and you won’t regret a post later when it’s taken out of context.

  7.Posting cryptic status updates

Being witty, wise or a smarty-pants, whatever you want to call it, but there is a time and place for things like this, such as at home or once you know a person well and they know your personality. If you continue on this way, you may come off as a bit cold or mean. I know you probably do not intend it to be that way, but not all people are like you so it is better to just be personable rather than disengaged and short.

   8.Public display of affection

Some people just can’t seem to help themselves when it comes to posting ‘sweet’ pics with their bae on social media. Although this can be extremely sweet, it can also be totally vomit-inducing. They’re not all that appealing in real life, so let’s not let public displays of affection spread to Facebook as well. You may not realize it, but Facebook has a direct messaging feature that works a lot like email.
