Being single can be awesome. It could have been great if not for those people in relationships who seem more interested in your dating lives than their own.
People be like, “You know, you are missing out on the fun.” However comfortable you might be with your ‘single’ status, these annoying but predictable comments can irritate you to the core. To be fair, let’s admit it that things can get pretty boring at times for a ‘single’ person, but then it is far better to feed on your favorite pizza while watching t.v. alone rather than have someone to feed on your mental peace.
If you have ever been single, you might relate to the following phrases coming from your “happy to be in a relationship” friends-
1. You are too great to be single.
Gee, thanks. And you are just too stupid to be not one.
2. Stop being picky.
Because you chose a nincompoop for yourself, you want me to follow your lead?
3. Are you kidding me? Who stays single?
Ever heard of the number 1? That poor thing has remained single all his life on the number line. So as a matter of fact, I am not the only one.
4. Are you dating someone secretly?
Because your last seen was at 4 in the morning. Must be some special person you were talking to.
I have bigger commitments(read: work).
