When we think of dating someone the first thing that comes in our mind is what if the other person doesn’t like us the way we look. It’s the most obvious and common doubt we get before going on a date. Similar is the case with a student from Glasgow. She doesn’t date anyone as she fears that people will reject her when they see her face.

Abigail Collins, 19 a student from Glasgow has been suffering from her skin problem since she was 10.
She wakes up early in the morning and applies makeup and foundation to cover her blemished skin.
But she confessed that even after years of covering up she still hesitates to approach guys.
She says that she has always struggled to get into a relationship because of her facial acne.
She explains that she often used to go late to the school as she’d spend 2-3 hours doing her make-up and trying her best to cover her acne.
She even struggled to make good friends as she lost confidence and became very self-conscious because of her looks.
She also told the media that she had a poor social life in school as she had very few friends.
She has admitted that she never admitted anyone and she won’t because she doesn’t people to get scared when they see her.
Abigail now shares her story and pictures on Instagram so she can get some confidence after showing her real look to the world.
Instagram has helped her feel less alone and she also chats with people who have gone through similar situations.
Going out without covering my face doesn’t bother me much now, she added.
In the end, she said that I know there are people out there who can relate to her story and feel less alone. She says that a skin condition will never define someone’s personality
