Stranger things just released the second season of the franchise and it was a big hit and also made all the viewers become greedy for another season to come early. What will disappoint us, however, is having to wait until 2019 to get the third season. This is like waiting for an eternity for an interesting story. Being a Stranger Things die-hard fan myself, and someone who binged the whole season in less than 24hrs I can say I’m equally disappointed.
Here we discuss in detail what we expect in 2019:
After spending a solid weekend binge-watching the second season of Stranger Things, I instantly wanted more.
I need to see Dustin meet a girl. What’s going to happen with Mike and Eleven? Let me swoon over Steve. Can Will just be happy already?
What will the Mind Flayer do next? Are there other gateways between the Upside Down and the human universe?

Does Will still have True Sight? Can he access the Upside Down?
When Mike and Dustin realized what was happening to Will and his “flashbacks” into the Upside Down, they referred to his ability as True Sight. Due to the time he had spent in the Upside Down and in the Demogorgon’s lair, Will forged a special connection with the alternate universe.Will this connection remain intact even after the Mind Flayer’s shadow was exorcised out of him? Or was that link destroyed?
Will Eleven’s powers keep expanding?
That closing of the upside down with the monster trying to fight back but Eleven still being able to close it was pretty badass and from where she started by at most opening a gate to lifting a whole van to this closing the Gate we wonder if she’ll become more powerful in future?
Speaking of Eleven, does she know Hopper sold her out to Brenner?
On the season one finale, Hopper and Joyce were caught by Brenner while trying to sneak into the Upside Down. Hopper made a deal with Brenner — if he and Joyce could enter the Upside Down to save Will, then Hopper would tell him where Eleven was hiding. So, now there hasn’t been anything related to this the whole season 2 will Hopper keep his promise?
Is Dr. Brenner really alive? Or was that just a desperate ploy from the ex-Hawkins Lab technician?
“I would say that if we were going to kill Brenner … as an audience member watching the show if that was his death, that would be very unsatisfying to me — when the monster jumps on him and we cut away,” Matt said. “He would deserve much more than that as an ending. So yes, there’s a possibility of seeing him again.”
Are there more secret government labs where experiments are done on children like Eleven? Is Brenner heading up one of those now?
This occurs to me as something I expect to be the basic storyline for the 3rd season.
Are the rest of the numbered children being held at other labs? How much more are there?
We’ve now been introduced to Kali (008) and Jane/Eleven (011). Where’s 001 through 007? Or 009 and 010? What about 012 and up? Does the count of children kidnapped and experimented on go into the 100s?
The first time I saw kali (eight) this was the very first thought I got and can you even imagine so many kids with infinitely different powers fighting “bad men”! That would be freaking awesome!
Will Joyce and Hopper finally couple up?
Now that Bob’s dead (R.I.P) we can expect this. I had been rooting for this since the first season, hopefully, we get to see this couple.
These were some of the many unanswered questions and other expectations that need a season 3.
The good news is that we’re definitely getting a third season.
So, thankfully the answers will come!
The bad news is that we’re probably in for a bit of a wait.
David Harbour (who plays Hopper) revealed to Variety that we probably won’t be getting the season until 2019.
He makes a good point. So as long as Season Three is as incredible as the first two, I’ll try to be patient.
All we can do now is wait and watch the show again and again and get more wild ideas about season 3. Just hope that it comes earlier than expected rather than later.
