Cosplayer means costume player, where one can pretend to be someone else for a few days, it’s an event organized all over the world with great fanfare.  28 Days of Black Cosplayer was created by Cosplayer Chaka Cumberbatch-Tinsley three years back. Since then many black Cosplayers participate during the Black History Month. It was created especially for Blacks due to a lot of racism discrimination in the earlier events.

Black Cosplayers always struggled to get visibility and were overshadowed due to black skin, the characters they portrayed did not match and remarks on the website always said: “ Ni__rs can’t do Cosplay they ruin the characters due to their dark skin.” Now, this event has received an overwhelming response from black and other communities. This has helped many peoples kids see blacks in a positive way. It doesn’t matter who dresses as who as long as one identifies with the character and makes them happy fulfilling their fantasy.

Let’s check out the black cosplayer who slayed totally!.
