Jeff Bezos, the founder, and CEO of Amazon group of companies has left Bill Gates behind is currently the richest man on earth with a worth of whopping 90.2 billion US$. This changed happened after Amazon’s share prices jumped by more than 15$ per share while Microsoft suffered a slight loss in their share prices.
Amazon.com, as known is one of the biggest online retailers around the globe. Its subsidiary companies like Amazon Kindle, Alexa.com, Amazon videos, IMDB, Woot etc. have contributed their share and have made the company known its presence all around us.
Over the last year, Jeff Bezos has added more than 10 billion US$ to his wealth, much of it coming from Amazon. As of this Thursday, the company traded at 1603 US$. Jeff Bezos, the man behind this success is a name not known by many of us.
Born on 12th January 1964, Bezos completed his studies from the Princeton University, New Jersey, US. He initially started the company as an online market for books and later expanded his territory to almost every product that’s available on earth. After founding the company in 1994, Bezos never looked back and stood firm with his dreams. He is more than just an inspiration.
In his own words, he described his success as, “I took the less safe path to follow my passion and I’m proud of that choice.” Isn’t that great? Take the path which is less safe.”
Who remembers the famous poem “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost? Yes, in his poem he talks about a similar thing when he says
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
