Joan Rivers was banned from appearing on The Tonight Show in 1986. Ban was finally lifted by The Tonight Show’s current host, Jimmy Fallon, who invited Rivers to the show in 2014 for the first time in 25 years. She later died in the same year on 4 September 2014.
