Oh yes! let me repeat it again..!! COLDPLAY IS COMING TO INDIA.
And this time, it’s official. Since long we have heard about Coldplay’s India tour, but no official statement was made. Rumor was enough to get us all excited and even before the confirmation of Coldplay’s tour to India, millions of people subscribed to the event created by a fan.
Coldplay is confirmed to Play in India on November 19th at MMRDA Grounds Mumbai. The tickets will be made available for sale from 12 September. Forget iPhone 7; you’ll have to sell a kidney to attend the concert. The ticket prices are to be started at 25k and are assumed to go as high as 5 LAKHS..!!!
If Mid Day is to be believed than JayZ will also be gracing us with their presence. This visit will be part of the Global Citizen program which Chris Martin and the band are a part of. They recently hosted a similar event in the US. The event will be for a charitable cause and Coldplay will be performing at the same. The event will also see many of the top influential celebrities adding their two bits for a good cause. Expect a couple more international acts to join them on the stage.
Since it is for a charitable cause. And the entire proceedings will be donated to the Global Citizen’s Poverty Project for which Chris was here last year and played a surprise gig at Delhi too.
Twitteratis started reacting as soon as they heard the news. The most talked about part of the tour is the ticket prices. People are saying, in no way they are going to pay this sum of money for attending a concert in Mumbai. But on the other hand, Coldplay’s die hard fans are ready to sell their houses to attend the concert. After all, very rare times, especially in India when people get to meet one of their favorite Hollywood band and listen to the music live.
