1. Khadija Uzhakhova and Said Gutseriev
An incredibly expensive wedding in 2016 was a $1 Billion wedding in Russia. Oil tycoon Mikhail Gutseriev’s son Siad Gutseriev tied the knot with Khadija Uzhakhova on 26th march 2016.
2. Sheik Mohammed and Princess Salama
Sheik Mohammed, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and the Emir of Dubai who the man behind Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeriah, married the princess in 1981. The wedding expenses were around $137 million.
The couple visited all of the towns within the Emirates and distributed food and gifts to the people of their country.
3. Brahmani and Rajiv Reddy
How can India be behind others in anything? The next most expensive wedding was mining mogul Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter Brahmani with Rajiv Reddy in November 2016. The function around 50,000 guests and some 3,000 police officers for security purpose. The total cost was up to $74 million.
The invitation cards were gold-plated and fitted with LCD screens.
