But have you ever wondered why Flight Attendants Keep Their Arms Behind Their Backs When Greeting Passengers?
Well, it does ring a bell now, right? This seems awkward, why does anyone never talk about it? Now you are shuffling the pages of your memory and trying to remember when you actually noticed a flight attendant’s arms? Actually, it is not your fault. Most of us are usually busy checking our Boarding passes while the remaining few instead focusses on the beautiful face which greets us when we put our first steps in a flight

Well, the answer is finally here. The attendant is responsible for counting every passenger who steps its foot in the airplane.
Pic: A counter
She/He usually keeps a counter on the back of one of her/his arm as all the flight attendants use the other arm to welcome the passenger inside. With every entry, the attendant checks one on the counter and after all the passengers have boarded, the attendant transmits the count to the flight center. Having said that, not all airlines follow this practices. Sometimes, the passengers are counted after they have taken their seats. Different practices but you must admit, using Counter is clever.
