In the latest war of words between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump, Kim Jong is surely winning the internet right now for calling Trump ‘a dotard’. This is what he said, “I will surely and definitely tame the deranged U.S. dotard with fire”. But what does a dotard mean and what is this new language lesson by Kim Jong?
Merriam-Webster defines dotard as noun “a person in his or her dotage,” which is “a state or period of senile decay marked by the decline of mental poise and alertness.”Oxford’s definition: “An old person, especially one who has become weak or senile.” The other meaning is “an old person who is lazy, useless and demented”. It is pronounced as ‘DOE-turd’.
