North Korea is a secretive country where they have pretty terrible laws. Below are some of the restrictions that are imposed by the government of North Korea on the public.
1.Making international calls are prohibited
In North Korea, people have mobile phones, but they should not try to make an international call because it is sentenced to death.
2. Access to the internet
People here don’t use world wide web like any other country in the world. “Kwangmyong” is a government controlled website where many international website is banned. Every few months the government approves few websites which are accessible only in libraries and some universities.
3. Public singing
Singing in the public gathering like drinking and any other entertainment is banned by the Kim Jong Un.
4. Sarcasm
Public here are not allowed to make sarcastic comments about the supreme leader and his legacy. If any person did that they are subjected to prison.
5. Films of other countries
Korean Central Television is the only channel which is permitted by the government. It shows all the documentaries, news and other shows which praises Kim and his father. People here are not allowed to watch any other foreign movies. If anyone abandoned this, then they are sent to prison for up to 10 years.
6. Hairstyles
This country also has a prohibition on hairstyles. They are only 15 types of hairstyles for both men and women which are approved by the government.
7. Religion in the country
People in this country are not allowed to practice any religious ritual. Christianity is one of the banned religion in this country. Most of the public in this country are aesthetic, or they treat their president as a god.
8. iPhones
Pyongyang Touch and Arirang are the replicas of iPhone which are used by the North Koreans. Using the iPhone is a punishable offense.
9. Alcohol
North Koreans are allowed to booze only on certain days which are approved by the government.
10. Coca Cola
You can’t find coca cola in North Korea.
11.No local currency for tourist
You can’t exchange the money with the local currency. You are not even supposed to visit the local shops as well.
12. No birth control
Using birth control measures or opting for abortion is illegal in North Korea.
