Home Alone, the 1990 American Christmas comedy film, is the story of a boy who is mistakenly left behind when his family flies to Paris on Christmas vacation. The movie was shot in a three-story single-family house located in Winnetka, Illinois. Here are some of the Home Alone house pictures then and now that you’ll love to see.
The Home Alone house had a kitchen, staircase, basement and most of the first-floor landing of the house. The dining room of the Home Alone house and some downstairs rooms were duplicated on a stage for creating space for equipment and the crew. The house was built in 1920, and in May 2011, it was listed for sale. It was sold out in the year 2012 for $1.585 million. The house is now promoted as a place of tourist attraction and also set as an example of “How to Get Your Home in the Movies.”
