Chester Bennington last interview obtained by the mirror and was taken by Will Lavin. Bennington seemed to be fighting his own demons since a long time. He said “I came to a point in my life where I was like, ‘I can either just give up and fucking die or I can fucking fight for what I want.’ And I chose to fight for what I wanted. I wanted to have good relationships. I wanted to love the people in my life. I wanted to enjoy my job.” Though his words seemed to be strong and it felt like he would surely get over his depression but you never know what a person goes through.
He discussed that how his new album ‘One More Light’ was ‘therapeutic’ and helped him get over his demons and depression. He accepts that life can’t always be perfect for anyone. Chester Bennington revealed that before the Linkin Park’s album “One More Night’ started, he was in the darkest time of his life but didn’t go into what was worsening his mental health issues.
He further said “We brought in various issues and situations into the writing process. When you hear it in the context of the music, there’s a hopefulness and there’s a sense of moving forward and moving on, and that’s really where we’re coming from.”
Bennington said that working for the album made him realize the entire important thing in life and let be what’s not in his control. In his last interview, he said he knew how his attempts to control aspects of his life had deeply affected his mental health.
