1. Bharat Jain
Bharat Jain is a 50 years old beggar and lives near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus area. It is reported that he earns 75000 Rs. per month.
He owns two apartments which value around 70 Lakhs. Apart from this, he also rente a juice shop and takes 10000 Rs. rent. His family members have requested him to join family business several times but he wouldn’t listen to them.
2. Malana Khan
Malnaka Khan also known as Massu is from Lokhandwala, Mumbai. He arrives at his location at 8 in the morning and stays there till night.
He also takes a Rickshaw to his designated spot and changes his dress whenever he rides his rickshaw for passengers.
3. Krishna Kumar Gite
Krishna ears 1500 Rs. per day and owns a flat at Nallasopara. His begging spot is near CP tank, Mumbai. Whatever he gets is handled by his brother and Krishna doesn’t get involved in it.
4. Laxmi Das
Laxmi started begging at the age of 16. Now it’s been 44 years of begging and she has collected kilos of coins which made her eligible to qualify to have a credit card.
According to her family members, she is very obsessed with collecting coins. Some of the coins are not in use but still the bank accepted them.
5. Sarvatia Devi
Sarvatia Devi is from Bihar. She has been begging for 25 years. After begging for so long, she has collected a decent amount.
She has two insurance policies for which she pays 36000 Rs. in a year. She claims that she always changed her spot and the police never bothered her.
6. Sambhaji Kale
Kale resides in Khar area of western Mumbai. He owns a flat in Virar and an open plot in Solapur district. He earns 1000-1500 Rs. per day.
