#1 Blacken the Bride!
Soon to be bride? Let’s blacken you. You heard me right, this weird marriage ritual is practiced in Scotland. This weird ritual involves involves the bride and groom being pelted with food trash, including rotten eggs and fish. The Scots believe that if a couple can withstand this, their marriage can withstand anything.
#2 Chicken Liver, reveal the Date!
Everybody loves chicken, but will you ever count on the chicken to reveal the date of your marriage? No, definitely not. But the people of Daur, China, believe otherwise. They actually dissect the chicken to check it’s liver, if it’s fine, yayy you’re getting married. If not, well cut another one up, and pray the liver is healthy.
#3 Tree wedding
Beware of the curse! In India (land of traditions) people have a weird marriage ritual. If you’re born in a certain astrological period then you are under a curse. So you’ll probably cause an early death of your husband. Now how to you get rid of this curse? You marry a TREE!
