7. Yaun
China, the industrial hub of the world uses Yaun as its currency unit. The Chinese named their currency based on its shape as the literal meaning of Yaun is a round object i.e. the shape of a round coin.
8. Riyal
Riyal is currency of middle east countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. It is derived from the from Spanish word “Real”. Also, it is said to be derived from the Latin word “regalis,” meaning “royal” i.e. the Royal rulers of the country.
9. Rand
The South African currency Rand comes from the word “Witwatersrand”. This refers to the “white waters ridge” in Johannesburg where majority of South Africa’s gold deposits are found.
