Remember this scene from Harry Potter?
Of course, you do. And you how felt when it ended, we’ve watched out dear Just Harry stutter ‘I’m a what?’ when he learnt he’s a wizard
We’ve watched him select his wand at Olivander’s:
Seen people react like that at his lightning bolt scar:
Watched Ron and Harry do crazy and get Snape’s beating like that:
Learnt lessons like:
(Okay, this can go on for a while)
And then it ended with final goodbye at the station, an amazing journey came to an end. It broke our hearts. And then we saw a tini-tiny ray of hope when J K Rowling announced the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in 2015. The book releases in July 2016, yes, I know how hard it is to wait for another two months!
But another news for you Potterheads, a stage play of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is on it’s way. Sadly, it will be screened only in UK (what am I doing in India?)
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany. It will receive its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre (again what am I doing in India?)
The previews open 7th June, the screening stars 30th July. The cast includes Jamie Parker as Harry Potter, Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger and Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley (so we hear)
Very recently pictures of the Potter family were released.
Jamie Parker as Harry Potter with his iconic glasses and infamous scar.
Poppy Miller plays the role of Ginny Potter. (A lil bit like Molly Wesley, isn’t she?)
And here’s the new character in the story, Albus Potter, played by Sam Clemmet.
