4. Caring For Ducks.
“I wake up at 8:30 and have to take my ADHD medication with my breakfast. I then get showered. I am hatching six duck eggs in my room at the moment and the last one hatched yesterday. I have six baby ducks in my bedroom in a box and am caring for them. After school, I changed the ducklings’ water and gave them some food. Peter, my key worker, is helping me look after them.”
5. They reveal that It’s Maddening.
“You go to rec at the same time. You shower at the same time. The TVs come on and are turned off the same times each and every day. For some, it’s comforting, predictable. For others, however, it is maddening. The monotony erodes your individuality until you no longer exists.”
6. Snitches Get Stitches.
” I broke her nose, I split her lip and I broke her two fingers, She just kept mouthing off…she was a snitch.”
