7. Not being able to post your selfie because your bestie hates it

So finally, you’ve captured that perfect selfie. Your skin looks smooth and flawless; your makeup is perfect; and your facial expression is #onfleek. You lean over with excitement to show your friend this selfie masterpiece, but then she’s all like, “Ugh, I don’t like it. Please don’t post that.” At that moment, you’re left with a life-altering decision: you can either crop your friend out (which could potentially be a total savage move), or post it anyway ( a more savage move than the former), which could leave your friend pretty pissed off. Ugh! Does she not understand how rare a perfect selfie is?! Oh well, she’ll get over it.

8. Someone suddenly calls you mid-selfie while you were having the perfect angle and lighting

Imagine this: it’s Friday night and you’re going out with the girls. You’re listening to Beyoncé (I mean, because what else would you be listening to), and you just finished applying your makeup. Yep, you’ve been watching youtube tutorials again. You think to yourself, “this would be the perfect time to take that ‘heading out tonight’ selfie” and post to your Instagram. Right? Don’t act like you’ve never done it. Anyway, just as you’re mid-selfie, your mom calls. “Are you kidding me?!” you ask yourself. You’ve spent 23 whole minutes of your entire life trying to capture a kick-ass selfie, and as soon as you figured out the magic angle and lighting, your mom calls?! You can’t deal. I’m sure I’m not the only one who can relate to this struggle. It never fails—every time you’re trying to do something really important on your phone, like take the ultimate selfie, someone is blowing up your phone. Needless to say, this can be a total mood killer for us avid selfie-takers.

9. When you and your bestie both have the same good side

I think everyone can agree that they look best from a specific side of their face. For me, I take the best selfies from a profile stance on my right side. I refer to it as my “good side,” as I’m sure most of you do, too. But what can be really tricky, is if you and your bestie share the same “good side,” since you’ll be fighting over who stands where in every photo you take together—as if selfies aren’t difficult enough! Of course, you can both opt to use your “good sides,” but then that’s awkward because you’ll both be facing in the same direction. Ugh! Or, you can be the better friend, and let your bestie use her best side. Are you willing to sacrifice your “good side” for your bestie?!
