The Japanese have invented a body pillow that has an ‘arm’ built in. Known as the boyfriend or cuddle pillow, it’s caught on over the years. Now you just have to wrap your arms around the body pillow and the pillow will wrap its ‘arm’ around you.
4. The Capsule Hotel.
It is a type of hotel developed in Japan that features a large number of extremely small “rooms” (capsules) intended to provide cheap, basic overnight accommodation for guests who do not require the services offered by more conventional hotels.The benefit of these hotels is convenience and low price, usually around ¥2000-4000 (USD 19-38) a night. They provide an alternative for those who (especially on weeknights) may be too drunk to return home safely, or too embarrassed to face their spouses.

Many of us wouldn’t think twice about opening our mouths wide to enjoy a meal like a cheeseburger or sandwich. But for some women in Japan, this apparently poses a “problem.A trend that is known as “ochobo” — having a “small and modest mouth” — has caught on to the point where it’s considered rude for women to open their mouths wide in public.
So when Japanese restaurant chain Freshness Burger noticed a gender discrepancy in the sales of their large Classic Burger, they chalked it up to their female customers’ adherence to cultural norms.Enter the “liberation wrapper,” designed by advertising company Ad Dentsu. Featuring a photograph of a closed-mouthed woman on the front, the wrapper covers a woman’s face, thus “freeing” her to eat her burger without fear of anyone seeing her open mouth.
6. The Kanamara Matsuri.
The Kanamara Matsuri is centered on a local p*nis-venerating shrine. The legend being that a jealous sharp-toothed demon hid inside the v*gina of a young woman. The demon fell in love with and bit off p*nises of two young men on their wedding nights. After that, the woman sought help from a blacksmith, who fashioned an iron phallus to break the demon’s teeth, which led to the enshrinement of the item. This legend in Ainu language was published as “The Island of Women” by Basil Hall Chamberlain.
